The RV has passed its physicals! Last week it went back to the dealership for some warrenty work – fixing the little things that weren’t quite right after we 1st bought it. Then this week was the engine & other mechanical check up.
Now its time to finish packing it up. We’ve been putting aside our trip clothes & gear, & now we get the fun job of figuring out where to put it! Some things need to be available every day, some things occasionally, some things are bulk-bought items & some things may never be used but need to be on board, such as the portable jumper battery & air compressor. We’ll make a list to remind ourselves which bin/shelf/drawer holds which items.
We also need to complete our check lists for setting up camp & breaking down camp. Don’t want to be driving down the road with our TV antenna up or our door steps out (or the absolute worst, with the hose connected to the sewer!).
Last weekend we visited Phil’s brother Bill at his home in the Catskills. Beautiful area! We dry-camped on his property quite comfortably. It also gave us yet another opportunity to figure out how to manage power needs when we’re not hooked up to an electric outlet.
9 days…gulp!
